International Conferences at the United Nations

ICHR together with our partners frequently organises seminars, roundtables, and international conferences.  ICHR in co-sponsorship with IHRAAM (International Human Rights Association of American Minorities) held two international conferences on “The Right to Self-Determination” both in Geneva.  With a speakers including pre-eminent UN experts, UN Special Rapporteurs, representatives from the UN Office of the High Commissioner for HUman Rights, Jurists, Scholars ad Politicians from allover the world.

 

Global Discourse on Kashmir

ICHR, in association with the All Party Group for Kashmir in the European Parliament, held four events entitles “Global Discourse on Kashmir” in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2008.  Hosted at the European Parliament the event brings together many academics, politicians, political leaders,journalists and NGO representatives from around the world to discuss the Kashmir Conflict.  

The 4th global discourse on Kashmir opened in the European Parliament on April 1st 2008.  The event invited representatives from both Indian Occupied Kashmir and Azad Jammu & Kashmie.  The day featured the use of a unique and innovative video link-up between the conference, Srinagar and Muzzafarabad for the duration of the event.
